What’s happening in

What’s happening in The Cape? The newest member to our team, the ever effervescent Ms. Lorna Daroll, has been busy getting to know all the great guys and girls keeping the motorcycle industry’s wheels turning down on the southern tip of our beautiful country and she has sent us some feedback and news from the mother City... If you are Cape based and would like her to pop past - Eddy 2 Race Husqvarna Eddy 2 Race is the Husqvarna dealer in Cape Town. They are big supporters of the local race scene, with a really nice showroom full of tasty bikes both new and used, a well-stocked parts and accessories department and a professional workshop with all the latest and greatest equipment and pro technicians. In recent months they have upgraded their workshop and added in a really trick suspension service centre. We are not too clever on all the technical jargon, so we asked them to give us the low down and they had the following to say: “At Eddy2Race are always striving to grow and get bigger. We have got our own motorcycle suspension and shock service centre all setup and ready to service all your suspension requirement. Firstly, there are a few important things to know about suspensions.” Suspension servicing is one of the most underrated services on a motorcycle and one that often gets neglected. Most riders will flush their bikes engines, cooling systems and etc, changing filters, oils, seals and the like. But, very few riders consider maintenance on the front forks and rear shock. “A front fork service covers a full strip and clean. The Guide bushes and dust seals are inspected for wear, the stanchions are checked for wear and run out, the compression and rebound valves are stripped and cleaned and all shim stacks dismantled and cleaned (where applicable). The forks are then rebuilt using OEM oil seals. If any wear is evident, we report to you before under taking any additional work so you do not have any surprises.” “Our rear shock service is similar to that of our fork service. It covers a full strip, Clean and Inspection of all parts. Rebuilt using high quality OEM seals, fresh oil and re-gas all included.” Give them a call on 086-125-0300 or drop them a mail at When you pop in, go and say hello to our Zygmund Brodalka - the guy who is responsible for most of the national MX pics in the magazine... 1st Floor Mahenka Centre, Corner of Ford and Strand Street, Bellville, Cape Town for their friendly and professional service.
